The hotel occupies three houses above the beach. The Palacete is the original 1918 villa, "Vila Nossa Senhora das Dores", built for the canning industrialist António Júdice de Magalhães Barros; Casa Azul faces the Atlantic; Casa Jardim opens onto the garden. Together they hold 38 rooms and suites. The hotel has operated on this site since 1934. Its restaurant, Vista, holds 1 MICHELIN Star, and its spa is a Spa by L'Occitane.
